The Complete Camera Company is a market leading facilities company specialising in documentaries and fixed rig filming. Supplying bespoke camera systems, mini cams and experienced crews alongside project management, The Complete Camera Company provide production companies with the complete solution for their project.
The Complete Camera Company was founded by cameramen Paul O’Connor and Ben Hoffmann, who between them have 30 years experience providing companies with a vast range of specialist camera solutions. Their aim is to provide a ‘complete company’ that provides exactly that – a complete service, from start to finish. They will work closely with production companies from the initial stages of planning, via project managing, technical specifications, crewing and filming.
Paul has worked in the outside broadcast industry since 1997, learning his craft as a camera technician and operator with a remote camera facilities company.
Ben became a cameraman in 2003, and gained his experience in a wide variety of Television Drama, PSC Documentaries and multi-camera global events. His global broadcast work includes 3 Winter Olympics, 2 Summer Olympics and the Royal Wedding.
“Working with the Complete Camera Company on a fixed rig film about a gun shop in America was a great experience. It's hard to sum up in a few words just how important they were in the production. From the recce, the planning and installation of the rig, to the shoot and de-rig, Ben and his team exuded confidence, professionalism and helped create a positive atmosphere. Their technical expertise, inventiveness and can-do attitude meant that no request, problem or change of plan was an issue; this coupled with their love for documentary and engagement with the editorial side of the production was invaluable. We were a very small team and I felt totally supported and confident in the knowledge that Ben and his team were passionate about the film and determined to make the shoot as successful as it could possibly be.”
