PAUL O'CONNOR

Here he worked all over the world on a wide variety of outside broadcasts giving him an insight into large scale production and a wealth of experience in many disciplines of camera operation. He then became a Resources Manager, responsible for the logistics of over 25 technicians and their camera equipment all over the world. Later, as a freelance cameraman, Paul operated a variety of remotely controlled cameras, big lens line cameras and hand held cameras for live broadcast, documentaries and reality TV shows specialising in fixed rigs from the beginning of this new genre of television making in 2008.

This provided him with the versatility to manage and execute fixed-rigs, along with the technical knowledge to ensure projects run smoothly. Paul now has vast experience in the unit management of fixed rigs whilst still turning his hand to operating and gallery directing on many of The CCC’s projects.

Paul has worked in the outside broadcast industry since 1997, learning his craft as a camera technician and operator with a remote camera facilities company.
