PAUL O'CONNOR
This experience gave him deep insight into large-scale production and a broad skill set across multiple camera disciplines.
He later stepped into the role of Resources Manager, overseeing the logistics of more than 25 technicians and their camera equipment worldwide. As a freelance camera operator, Paul operated a range of cameras for live broadcasts, documentaries, and reality TV. He went on to become a specialist in fixed-rig productions, helping shape this emerging genre from its early days in 2008.

Paul’s versatility and technical expertise made him a trusted figure in fixed-rig management and execution, ensuring even the most complex projects ran seamlessly. He brought vast experience to unit management, camera operation and gallery directing across many of The Complete Camera Company’s collaborations.

Paul worked tirelessly to train staff and pass on his expertise throughout his career, enabling the next generation of facilities crew to thrive and the CCC to continue to flourish. He lives on in the legacy of his formidable spirit and irrepressible hard work, for which the CCC will be forever grateful.
Paul, who sadly passed away in 2025, built an extraordinary career in the outside broadcast industry. He began as a camera technician with a leading remote camera facilities company, working around the globe on a wide range of major outside broadcasts.
